NetBotz Amp Detectors add electrical current monitoring capability to the WallBotz 310, 400 and RackBotz 310 and 400, giving managers of corporate it sites and hosting facilities an accurate way to determine how much current is being drawn on their circuits. Current consumed by each attached Amp Detector is conveyed to the NetBotz appliance via a small plug-in cable, which is supplied. The data is displayed as amps. Amperage readings are displayed with other environment readings in the NetBotz Web interface. Limits can be set and the user notified by e-mail if the power exceeds or falls below preset limits. Each Amp Detector connects to one of the external sensor ports. In the case of a cabinet with two circuits supplying power, two Amp Detector modules will monitor the circuits. The Amp Detector will not interfere with power because current sensing is passive - load circuits are measured by magnetic coupling.
