This APC NetShelter AV 2U Rack Fan Panel features a variable speed control that controls fan speed based on temperature with selectable set points and a fault-tolerant fan system where, in the event of a fan failure, the remaining fans will continue to operate. Fan guards are a safety measure that provides protection around the fan opening by covering the inlet.
