The ferrite bead is a passive device that limits high-frequency interference on interface and control cables, and it is only required when the remote power on/off feature, supported by the 8700 Watt power supply (available separately), is installed. The ferrite bead is not required for 8700 Watt power supply installations that do not use the remote power on/off feature.
