The DES-105 5-port 10/100 desktop switch supports full duplex operation on all 5 interfaces for up to 200Mbps per port and a combined switching capacity of up to 1Gbps. The DES-105 combines dynamic memory allocation with store-and-forward switching to ensure that the buffer is effectively allocated for each port and controls the data flow to guarantee against possible packet loss. Since all ports support 200Mbps, any one of its five ports may be used to cascade to an additional switch to open a full-duplex Fast Ethernet pipe.
